1. asp:ScriptManager
2. asp:UpdateProgress + asp:UpdatePanel work together

Yes, MS SQL server are not friendly to empty string -- LEN('') = 1
But this is ridiculous: The following statements returns true.

• LEN('TEST      ') = 4
• 'TEST      ' = 'Test'
